10am Sunday 4th, 11th and 18th of December

Advent is traditionally a time when we celebrate waiting.

Which sounds weird. Celebrate waiting? Nobody likes waiting. We don’t want things done tomorrow, we don’t want them today, we want them yesterday. For us, waiting should be avoided at all costs.

But what if we’ve got things the wrong way around? What if waiting doesn’t kill our happiness – what if it is the key to happiness?

This advent we’re going to explore one of Jesus’ instructions: wait and wait well! We are going to look at what it means to wait for happiness, wait for what is right and to wait for God and discover along the way that waiting is more of a gift than we realised.

10am Sunday 11th of December

We’re looking forward to having our kids lead us in worship once again with our next Family Church Service. Kids will be leading the prayers, communion, readings and a special (yet to be revealed) item. We’ll set up tables at the back (with snacks), keep the sermon a little more concise and provide activity sheets to follow along. In short, this service is not just by kids, it’s for kids (though I’m confident it will be enjoyed even more by those of us a little older). Bring your kids, grandkids and friends along. If you’ve been thinking about inviting someone to church for a while – this is the Sunday!

4pm – 7pm Friday the 16th of December

It’s not easy being a student. Getting to the end of the school year is an achievement, and we want to celebrate it!

All pre and primary school aged kids (and their guardians) are invited to our end of year pizza party. There will be a bouncy castle, games, activities and, of course, pizza.

Blow off some steam and celebrate.

5:30pm – 6:15pm Friday the 23rd of December

Take a moment before the busy Christmas weekend this year to have some fun and remember what Christmas is all about.

Our carols service is on the Friday before Christmas this year. We’ll have a range of well-loved carols to sing together, gift packs for kids, a brief message and a creative item to tell the Christmas story. This service is going to be great for people of all ages – so please invite people of all ages along!

Hang around after the service for sausage and a chance to catch up.

9am Sunday the 25th of December

It’s cliched, but it’s true: presents break, we forget the taste of the food, the tinsel and lights are eventually packed away again. All the trappings of Christmas come to an end, but the heart of Christmas – the truth that at Christmas all of creation was united with God and God united with all of Creation – this remains.

There is no greater joy in Christmas than encountering the story of God’s coming to us in Jesus.

Join us for worship this Christmas morning at 9am.
